This blueberry-filled breakfast and brunch dish is a lazy cook's dream. You can prepare it entirely ahead the night before and then just bake it in the morning. Serve warm with maple syrup and grilled bacon or sausage alongside. (Recipe adapted from Best Summer Weekends Cookbook by Jane Rodmell).
After flicking through my Instagram one evening, I came across this simple recipe for these delectable looking tarts. Since we love anything "french onion" I decided to give them a try! They couldn't be any easier to prepare and oh so tasty! They would make a perfect Father's Day appetizer ahead of a great barbecue dinner. If you want to watch how easy it is to make these, check out @thenaughtyfork on Instagram for a quick visual "how-to".
Whether you are going to the Coronation (like Donna-Marie) or not, or planning on watching it on TV (or maybe not), King Charles has launched his choice of recipe for the upcoming Coronation on May 6. Chosen personally by Their Majesties, they have opted for a simple, traditional quiche to commemorate the big day. While quiche might seem more French than British, they chose it because it's a good sharing dish as the Brits are encouraged to gather after the ceremony for The Big Lunch with friends and neighbours. The Royal Family's website shared the full recipe of the dish which involves spinach, broad beans (which we refer to as fava beans), cheddar cheese and tarragon. We have substituted leeks in place of the broad beans as they are harder to find here in Canada and we've adapted some ingredients to make it a little more "Canadian recipe-friendly".
Whether you’re spending Easter with family or looking to host a few friends, there are a ton of ways to celebrate the holiday. One of our favourites? With food, of course! This delicious side dish is perfect to serve for an Easter brunch or dinner. The best part is that it can be made ahead too. Gratins can typically be stored for up to 5 days in the refrigerator in a covered, airtight container.
