CAN I PURCHASE A GIFT CARD FOR A COOKING CLASS?

Yes! All of our gift cards can be used towards virtual or in-studio cooking classes. Our E-gift cards are the perfect last minute presents.

VIRTUAL CLASSES

Our online classes start at just $35 per household, so you can have friends and family in your kitchen at no additional cost.

HOW LONG ARE CLASSES?

Online classes are 1 ½ to 2 hours in length unless otherwise noted.

WHAT IS THE FORMAT OF ONLINE CLASSES?

Online classes are given real-time via Zoom (classes are shown in Eastern Time). We'll send you a prep packet with an ingredient list beforehand, so you have time to assemble all the necessary tools and ingredients. Before class begins, you’ll need to have Zoom installed on your tablet or laptop. Set up your laptop or tablet in the kitchen for easy viewing while you cook. Every class is live, so you can ask your instructor questions as you go. At the end of the class, you’ll have a delicious meal to enjoy.

Choose whether you want to include a food kit or not using the drop down menu. Enter the number of seats you wish to reserve in the "Quantity" box and click the "Add To Cart" button. Then enter the name, email and phone number for each attendee. Finalize payment via your shopping cart.

HOW DO I CANCEL A COOKING CLASS?

Our cooking classes may be cancelled by calling our customer service team at (519) 954-8772 during normal business hours. We kindly request you give us at least 48 hours’ notice. We do not give refunds on cooking classes, but you will receive a full class credit and can transfer to another class at your convenience.

IN-STUDIO CLASSES

Our in-store classes start at $125 per person; prices vary depending upon the type of class.

In-store classes are 2 to 3 hours in length unless otherwise noted.

WHAT IS THE FORMAT OF YOUR CLASSES?

Classes are that are listed as hands-on means students practice techniques demonstrated by our instructors and prepare menu items. Classes listed as demonstration-style means that we do the cooking and you get to "sit-back-and-enjoy". You get a generous tasting portion of each menu item and there is plenty of opportunity to ask questions to the instructors.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT A RELISH COOKING CLASS?

 Our in-store cooking classes take place at Relish Cooking Studio. We’ve built our kitchen designed specifically to be a learning environment. You’ll have a workstation equipped with the tools and ingredients you’ll need for each recipe, and you’ll taste a generous helping of everything you make. We will also provide you with recipes and "at home" instructions for all the menu items.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO KEEP YOUR COOKING CLASSES SAFE?

Relish takes keeping our customers and store team healthy very seriously. Here are some of the extra steps we are taking to create a safe class experience:

• We are closely following provincial and local public health orders and guidelines.
• To comply with local ordinances, proof of vaccination will be required for cooking class participation. We will adjust as provincial numbers are at a level we deem to be safe for students and instructors to work together.
• Class attendees will work together i groups of up to three at shared workstations. If you attend a class with a guest, you are welcome to share with that person.
• We have increased the frequency of cleaning with disinfectants throughout our store and kitchen, particularly high-touch surfaces.
• Vaccinated attendees are required to wear a mask while participating in the class.
• Instructors and staff will wear face coverings throughout your class.
• We have strict safety and health protocols in place for our employees.

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR A CLASS?

Enter the number of seats you wish to reserve in the "Quantity" box and click the "Add To Cart" button. Then enter the name, email and phone number for each attendee. Finalize payment via your shopping cart.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

We will provide you with an apron, but we recommend wearing casual clothes that you don’t mind getting a little bit messy in. We ask that you wear flat comfortable shoes. Please do not wear open-toed shoes or sandals. Please pull long hair back. All other attendees are required to wear a mask.

DO YOU OFFER PRIVATE COOKING CLASSES?

Tipping is not required for any of our in-store or online cooking classes.

CAN I SEND MY CHILD TO AN ADULT COOKING CLASS?

No. Age requirements are posted for each class on the class detail page. Most classes are ages 16 and up. Minors must be accompanied by a paying adult. Some classes are restricted to 19 and up and will be noted on the class detail page.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY CLASS?

 We understand that sometimes class cancellations are necessary, and this policy describes what happens in the event of a cancellation.

For cancellations made up to 48 hours before the schedule start time of a class, we will offer you a store credit to be used towards another class at your convenience. Cancellations made after that time we are not able to offer any in-store credit.

(Cancellations or changes can be made (1) in person in Relish Cooking Studio through our telephone number during normal business hours, by calling (519) 954-8772 and speaking directly to a Relish staff member. We cannot accept or honour cancellations made by email or left on voicemail. When we cancel a class due to inclement weather, or other circumstances beyond our control (e.g., power outages, facility issues, etc.), we will endeavour to contact you by email or telephone with as much notice as possible and issue a full refund to the original form of payment (or, if you prefer, issue you a refund in the form of a Relish store credit). However, if we do not affirmatively cancel a class by email or telephone and you are unable to attend, our standard cancellation policy applies. Please note that Relish reserves the right to modify class menus at any time due to ingredient availability or seasonality.)
