VIRTUAL BAKING: Valentine Cookies & Decorating
You can simply say "I love you" with a cookie! Join professional cookie/cake decorator Lori Dale as she teaches you the basics to cookie decorating just in time for Valentines Day. In today's class, you will learn how to make buttery shortbread cookies and royal icing (demo) and how to cut and bake the cookies. Then together with Lori, you'll learn step by step the basics of decorating beautifully. Each registration includes a cookie kit: 6 pre-made shortbread cookies, royal icing and some essential cookie making tools to get you started. You'll have plenty of time to perfect your cookie decorating, just in time for Valentines gifting. (This class is ideal for bakers of any age, but kids younger than 10 will need supervision)

FOOD KIT: Each registration includes 6 pre-made shortbread cookies, royal icing, colour kit, cookie decorating tools (Sorry we cannot offer shipping)
EQUIPMENT NEEDED: Everything you need will be provided in the kit. To make and bake your own cookies you will require a stand/hand mixer. However the making/baking of the cookies will be a demonstration only.

Lori Dale has been decorating cakes professionally for over 30 years. She formerly ran her own business in uptown Waterloo called The Cake Tutors where she taught cake and cookie decorating lessons. She continues to teach private lessons and sell custom order cakes from her home studio in Kitchener.
What To Expect In Our Virtual Classes: Great cooking is about more than recipes—it's about techniques. In our virtual classes you'll cook alongside our professional chef instructors live in the comfort of your own kitchen.
- Classes are 1 1/2 to 2 hours in length
- You will receive the Zoom link, Recipe and Equipment Information 1 week prior to the class time.
- Classes are fully interactive and cook-along, so you can ask questions during the cooking session. Feel free to watch and take notes too if you prefer.
RELISH recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please check with us before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class.
