Is there a virtual bridal/baby shower, graduation or special event in your future? Why not create some custom cookies beautifully decorated for gift giving as a thank you. Join professional cookie/cake decorator Lori Dale as she teaches you the basics to cookie decorating. In today's class, you will learn how to make buttery shortbread cookies (demo) and royal icing  and how to cut and bake the cookies. Then together with Lori, you'll learn step by step the basics of decorating beautifully using various piping tips, how to use a piping bag and create beautiful designs for any cookie occasion.  (This class is ideal for bakers of any age, but kids younger than 10 will need supervision)

MENU: Shortbread Cookies (Demo), Royal Icing

FOOD KIT INCLUDES: 6 pre-made shortbread cookies, royal icing and piping bags.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED: Stand/hand mixer, Cookie decorating kitmixing bowls, cookie cutters of your choice (hearts, decorative rectangle/square, dress, cake, shirt etc) and assorted Wilton paste colours recommended

Lori Dale has been decorating cakes professionally for over 30 years. She formerly ran her own business in uptown Waterloo called The Cake Tutors where she taught cake and cookie decorating lessons. She continues to teach private lessons and sell custom order cakes from her home studio in Kitchener.
