TEEN SUMMER CAMP: Masterchef Junior (August 18)
Hey teens, if cooking is your jam, lets unleash that inner master chef at our 5-day, August cooking camp. Designed for teen foodies ages 12-15, essential and advanced baking techniques, food prep skills, kitchen safety and lots of cooking are on the menu. You'll create delicious dishes and learn skills to use for a lifetime. Each student will be given a complete recipe package, a chef hat and a graduation certificate on the last day of camp.
Cost includes all food supplies including their “own-made” lunch which they will eat before heading home. Space is limited. This camp is suited for teen 12-15, unless they have completed one of our previous camps.

TIME: 9:00 - 12:00 Noon
MENU:
Day 1 - The French Bistro
- Intro to knife skills, pastry/pie dough techniques, sautéeing, basics of egg cooking and plating
- Quiche Lorraine, Apple Galette with Salted Caramel Sauce
Day 2 - Mediterranean Delights
- Advanced knife skills, grilling techniques, simple bread-making, cake making, vinaigrettes, how to brûlée
- Chicken Souvlaki with Tzatziki, Pita and Salad, Lemon Olive Oil Cake with Blueberry Compote
Day 3 - Matcha Moment
- Stock making basics, shallow frying method, pastry baking, pastry creams
- Katsu Udon Soup, Matcha Mille Feuille
Day 4 - Mangia Bene (Eat Well)
- Dough making and shaping, kneading, sauce making, sauteing, simple dessert layering
- Brown Butter Sauce Gnocchi, Tiramisu
Day 5: Mystery Box Day
- Teens will turn surprise ingredients into a delicious meal
This camp is not ideal for teens with gluten, dairy or nut allergies/sensitivities. Some menu items are subject to change.
Relish Cooking Studio recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc.
