 Celebrate the season with a Quebec classic - tourtière. Dating back to the 1600's, this dish was served to settlers after Christmas Eve midnight mass. Tonight you will learn how to make this classic French meat pie. You will begin by making your own flaky pastry from scratch, then simmer your meat and vegetables in a fragrant mixture of classic spices - cinnamon, cloves, allspice and nutmeg. Bring your own 9-inch pie plate or purchase one of ours with extra discount pricing. You'll have a chance to eat our house-made one with a light salad and you'll even bake a individual fruit galette - a free-form pie where you don't have to worry about perfect edges. So come out to our réveillon, and enjoy making your own Tourtière to take home and share with family and friends. (Please Note: This tourtiere is made with ground pork).

What To Expect In Our Hand-On Classes:  Great cooking isn’t about recipes – it’s about techniques. In our classes, you’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment lead by our qualified instructors.

  • Classes are for students 16 years and older and are 3 hours in length
  • You will often work with other guests in groups of 2 to 4
  • Hands-on classes are limited to 12 students
  • You’ll be standing, working and cooking for most of the class
  • Please wear comfortable, closed toed shoes and have long-hair tied back
  • You’ll enjoy a generous portion of each dish
  • You’ll receive 1 Relish point on your Preferred Customer Card plus 15% discount on regular priced retail merchandise the night of the class.
