Undoubtedly autumn is our favourite seasons of the year. We love the change of colours, the cool crisp air that makes for comfortable sleeping and of course the bounty of fruits and vegetables that can be found at the markets – its like its a last push before we close down the gardens and begin to bundle up for the winter.
I declared my love of the peach when I was 17 years old. In fact it was the first dessert dish I made for my then “boyfriend” and now “husband” in August of 1980 that set me on my road to study the culinary arts and nutrition.
Moving is one of the most stressful things you will ever do. This has certainly been the situation for Maria and I over the past few months, as we have packed up our kitchen studio and store and transplanted our seven-year old business from our vintage uptown Waterloo location to a new, more modern space in mid-town Kitchener.
